PHẦN 1 — LÝ THUYẾT CỐT LÕI
Grammar Range & Accuracy (GRA) chiếm 25% tổng band. Theo descriptor IELTS, Band 7.0 yêu cầu “occasional errors”. Một lỗi tinh tế lặp 3 lần không còn “occasional” → trừ thẳng xuống Band 6.0.
Học sinh đạt Task Achievement 7.0, Coherence 7.0, Lexical 7.0 nhưng GRA 6- → tổng band 6 (không phải 7.0). Đây là lý do nhiều em “đóng đinh” Band 6 dù vocabulary đủ tốt.
Học sinh sai ở 5 nhóm lỗi đặc thù mà Grammarly/AI KHÔNG bắt được vì cú pháp bề mặt vẫn đúng. 5 Bài trong bộ H8 Grammar Drill chẩn đoán đúng 5 nhóm này, mỗi Bài có mã lỗi GRA-XX## để track loại lỗi cá nhân.

PHẦN 2 — VÍ DỤ ĐÚNG / SAI TỪ BÀI TẬP
🎯 Nhóm 1 — Word Form (Bài 1, mã GRA-WF01–06)
❌ “North America declined consistent across all five years.” → Adj không modify được V.
✅ “North America declined consistently across all five years.” (Drug Company 1.4)
→ GRA-WF05 — Adj → Adv -ly. Pattern WT1 chuẩn (steadily, sharply, moderately).
⚠️ Phân biệt sắc thái: Cùng N gốc “distinction” có 2 Adj khác nghĩa:
– distinct = clearly separate (East Africa 1.1: “two distinct peaks”)
– distinctive = characteristic of (East Africa 1.3: “distinctive to this region”)
🎯 Nhóm 2 — Articles & Prepositions (Bài 2, mã GRA-AR/PP)
❌ “…peaking to 48% in 2004.” → TO là direction, không phải level.
✅ “…peaking at 48% in 2004.” (Drug Company 2.4)
→ GRA-PP02 — “peak AT [value]” fixed collocation. So sánh: rise TO (direction) vs peak AT (level).
❌ “…ended at a same level…” → ✅ “…ended at the same level…” (Drug Company 2.9)
→ GRA-AR02 — “the same X” invariant. Same/only/first/last luôn dùng “the”.
🎯 Nhóm 3 — S-V Agreement + Plural + Distractor (Bài 3)
❌ “Europe and Africa dominates sales…”
✅ “Europe and Africa dominated sales…” (Drug Company 3.1)
→ GRA-SV02 + TN01 — plural compound subject + past tense.
⚠️ Tense critical: Drug Company và Ireland dùng past simple; East Africa dùng present simple (general climate).
❌ “…12 percentages points…” → ✅ “…12 percentage points…” (Drug Company 3.7)
→ GRA-PL02 — modifier noun stays singular (cùng quy tắc “5-year period”).
🟢 Distractor — KHÔNG có lỗi (Drug Company 3.5):
“Comparing regions with similar market profiles confirms the dominance pattern.”
→ Đáp án: regions / similar (cả 2 đúng). Common error: tự đổi → CẢ 2 ĐỀU SAI vì “regions” plural đúng (so sánh nhiều), “similar” Adj đúng (modify “market profiles”), gerund “Comparing” singular default → “confirms” đúng.
→ Bài học: Đọc kỹ trước khi sửa. Không phải mọi câu gạch dưới đều có lỗi.
🎯 Nhóm 4 — Sentence Construction WT1 Structures (Bài 4)
5 cấu trúc Band 6.5–7.0: WHILE-clause contrast, rear V-ing consequence, BEFORE V-ing temporal, em-dash apposition, with-absolute.
Drug Company 4.1 — Formula: `[S¹+V¹+(N)^O+(PP·N)^A] , WHILE [S²+V²+(Det·Adj·Adj·N)^O]`
❌ “Europe and Africa dominate sales throughout period while Asia record most significant growth.” → 4 lỗi.
✅ “Europe and Africa dominated sales throughout the period, while Asia recorded the most significant growth.”
→ Slot Table cover 5 slots: V agreement+tense (×2), article (×2), comma trước WHILE compulsory.
🎯 Nhóm 5 — Sentence Construction Band 7+ (Bài 5)
5 cấu trúc Band 7–8: non-defining WHICH, nominalized NP + THAT-clause, GIVEN-PP + passive + WHILE, em-dash double apposition + RATHER THAN.
East Africa 5.3 — showpiece:
❌ Band 7.0: “July is the coolest month and it is also in the dry period, not the wet period.” → đơn giản, max 7.0.
✅ Band 7.5+: “July — the coolest month — also falls within the driest period, rather than the wettest.”
→ Kết hợp 3 kỹ thuật: (1) em-dash double apposition; (2) “also” trước V → so-what insight; (3) RATHER THAN concessive contrast.
→ Khác biệt Band 7.0 vs 7.5+ chỉ ở 5 cấu trúc Bài 5 này.

PHẦN 3 — KẾT NỐI VỚI BÀI TẬP
